What a great representation of the different mindsets we have in our societies❤. There are those who have been exposed to the possibilities and can see what is already unfolding, and there those who do not want change or possibily prefer going backwards in order to move forward. Then there are those who remain in the middle because they are trying to understand the consequences of each direction. Indeed change is inevitable and nothing is new under the sun.

Lebo speaks to respond alot but she doesn’t think back to what she says. In that economically emancipated women chat, she made and example with her own passed relationship, and by how she spoke it doesn’t sound like he earns less than her which is why she felt “safe” aside from the emotional aspect. Relationships need money period no matter how rich or poor you are and it’s always expected 8/10 times for that money to come from a man, we see this all over social media, on podcast, at uni even emakhaya and her responding to say “yes but that’s not everyone “ is as the same as her debating GBV with me and giving me stats that say 8/10 women have been abused by men and then i turn and say “yes but that’s not all of us” and women’s lived experience says so on social media and everywhere else around this country that 8/10 experiences abuse. I’ve been watching and listening to her for the past episodes and the way she responds is like she doesn’t want to agree to what the gents are saying at all or even remotely validate it and that is the fight us a educated, intellectually and emotionally liberated men face when we try address such things with women….it’s always something that’s the cause of this and that and this and the situation itself never gets resolved. As a young man myself the conversation did frustrate me after she came in not because she is disagreeing but because she almost sort of disagrees to bring her point above the gents points. Like Penson perfectly illustrated we all have ten fingers but she always wants to speak about the 11 & 9 fingered people even when it’s not necessary, not bashing her she’s awesome but it is very frustrating no lie as an open minded gent if i could say.
